Member Benefits

The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1943 and offers many benefits to our 400+ members. As a member of the Chamber, you can attend our many programs and events that inform and help members develop skills and business relationships.  We also provide benefits that help members save money.  Below is a list of what you can expect to receive from your Chamber membership:

Chagrin Valley Community Expo
This is the only conference-type business event in the Chagrin Valley.  The Chagrin Valley Community Expo is a high-profile, community-wide opportunity for your business to market other Chamber members as well as the residents of the Chagrin Valley.

Chamber Membership List
Upon request, we will provide an electronic spreadsheet or an electronic mailing label format (Avery 5160).  Member name, primary contact, phone and mailing address is provided.   No emails are released at this time.

Breakfast with the Chamber
This program is an educational event with informative speakers who gear their topics toward the small business owner.  Wednesdays at 8-9 am (every other month) at Township Hall, 83 N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls.  Registration is required and there is a nominal fee.

Lunch With the Chamber
This program is an afternoon educational event with informative speakers who gear their topics toward the small business owner.    Fridays at 11:30-1:00 (every other month) at various Chamber member locations.  Registration is required and there is a nominal fee.

Meet Me @ 5 Business – After Hours Networking 
This event has a casual, informal atmosphere and is a good opportunity to meet other Chamber members.  We hold these at various business locations throughout the Valley.  Locations are listed on website and in the newsletter.   NO CHARGE to members and their guests.

New Resident Packets
Help new residents get acquainted with your business. This program is held in the spring each year as realtors gear up for their busy season.  We collect promotional items, brochures, or coupons from our members and assemble them in a neatly packaged gift for new residents to enjoy.  The packets are distributed through real estate offices.  Similar to "Welcome Wagon".  NO CHARGE

Monthly Newsletter – Member to Member Inserts
Stay on top of what the Chamber is doing with our monthly newsletter, "The Reporter", which serves as a guide to the monthly events and programs of the Chamber.  Want to announce a special upcoming event, promotion or sale?  Members may provide an insert for a small fee.  It’s a great inexpensive way to reach our 400+ members and get your “message” heard. 

Chagrin Valley Magazine
In cooperation with The Chagrin Valley Times, we publish a full color magazine highlighting the Chagrin Valley. A chamber member directory is inserted within the magazine.  Distributed to 25,000 Chagrin Valley residents, medical offices, real estate offices, hotels and inns.  NO CHARGE

Business Referrals
We often receive requests for business referrals and we only recommend Chamber members.  Our website is a source for business referrals also -- averaging over 20,000 hits a month.

Chamber Website Member Directory Listing
Chamber members are assigned a login and password upon joining the Chamber which allows them access to our member directory.  Add your logo, pick multiple category listings, list a special promotion or sale, add an event to our calendar, or update company representatives, etc.  INSTANTLY! 

Sponsorship Opportunities
The Chamber holds community events and programs throughout the year which you may use as sponsorship opportunities to highlight your business. Sponsorship opportunities include:  Newsletter, Website, Concerts in the Park, Annual Business Meeting, Chagrin Valley Community Expo, Golf Outing and high school Scholarship Fund.

COSE - Council for Small Enterprises and "AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
We offer our members the opportunity to belong to both organizations at substantial savings. Become a member of the Council of Small Enterprises (COSE) through our COSE Affiliate Membership and save money on your COSE dues. 

The User-Friendly Phone Book
This phone book is distributed to 14 Chagrin Valley communities.  All Chamber members are listed in a directory in the front pages and their company listing is highlighted in blue in the white pages.  Members also receive a discount on advertising.  Free directory listing with your membership.

Annual Business Dinner
Held during the first quarter of the year, this event highlights various Chamber awards, the Student Business Leader Scholarships are presented, and there is a guest speaker. All members are encouraged to attend (small charge).

Get Involved with a Chamber Committee
The Chamber has committees which welcome members who would like to get more involved with the Chamber.  They are Community Chest, Programs & Events and Young Professionals Group:

·         Community Chest is responsible for raising money and also giving it away on behalf of the Chamber.  Student Scholarships, Annual Golf Outing, all fall into this committee’s responsibilities. 

·         Programs and Events is responsible for planning Educational and Networking events and Concerts in the Park.

·         The Young Professionals Group is for those 40 and under who are interested in professional development, social networking or civic projects with like-minded professionals.

Bulk Mailing Permit Number
Don’t purchase that "Bulk Mailing Permit" for hundreds of dollars a year.  As a Chamber member you are able to use the Chambers bulk mailing number for your "BULK MAILING" through the Chagrin Falls Post Office.  Bulk mailing rules apply.
