The FBI investigates them all\, and many more.\n\n\n\nThe very heart of FBI operations lies in our investigations which serve\, as our mission states\, to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats and to enforce the criminal laws of the United States  We currently have jurisdiction over violations of more than 200 categories of federal law. (www.fbi.gov.)\n\n \n\nThe FBI originated from a force of special agents created in 1908 by Attorney General Charles Bonaparte during the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt and has grown to 36\,074 employees which includes 13\,913 special agents and 22\,161 support professionals (such as intelligence analysts\, language specialists\, scientists\, information technology specialists\, and other professionals).\n\n \n\nOur keynote speaker is Special Agent\, Stephen Anthony.  Mr. Anthony began his career as a special agent in 1988 and has held several positions in his career from field supervisor to special assistant to his current position as special agent.\n\n \n\nMr. Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history in 1984 from John Carroll University. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1987 from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is a member of the Ohio state bar.  Prior to his FBI career\, he served as a law clerk for the United States Attorney?s Office and for a civil litigation firm.    \n\n \n\nWe will also be presenting awards for Presidential Merit\, Business of the Year and Past President that night.  The Student Business Leader Award recipients from Chagrin Falls\, Kenston and Orange High Schools will also be on hand to receive their scholarships and awards.
