Sous Chef-
* Assist with any special request items and follow through with guest satisfaction.
* Ensure highest food quality for guest satisfaction.
* Greet all guests professionally.
* Maintain a clean and pressed appearance when in public areas.
* Keep a teamwork atmosphere with all the departments in the hotel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Observes and trains kitchen staff engaged in preparing, portioning, and garnishing foods to ensure that methods of cooking and garnishing and sizes of portions are as prescribed.
Gives instructions to cooking personnel in fine points of cooking.
Cooks and carves meats, and prepares dishes, such as sauces, during rush periods and for banquets and other social functions.
Assumes responsibility for kitchen in absence of Executive Chef.
Assists Executive Chef in day to day operations i.e. ordering, inventory, oversees kitchen and banquet operation.
Conduct quarterly kitchen "walk through." Assist with corrective action plan and follow-up.
Oversees storeroom and assists clerk as needed.
Helps produce daily cafe menu and specials in the restaurant to maximize revenue drive.
Assist with culinary externship program to ensure successful program.

Pay: $47,000.00 per year
