Congratulations to the following students who were selected for this year’s award:

Chagrin Falls High School - Brock Weber

Kenston High School - Lindsay Williams

Newbury High School - Kathryn Barton

Oange High School - Jonah Rabb

The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to sponsor the Student Business Leader of the Year Award once again this year.  We have seen this program grow from one school and a $200 scholarship to four schools and four $1000 scholarships!  Thanks to Chamber member donations, fundraising events, and the time commitment by the Community Chest Committee, we are making a difference and helping area students.  The process begins in September with letters sent to the four area high schools (Chagrin Falls, Kenston, Newbury and Orange) asking for 3 nominees with specific requirements.  The nominated students send a packet back to the Chamber to be reviewed by the Community Chest Committee prior to the interviews which take place in late October.

Interviews are scheduled at the high schools.  The interview process is very rewarding for both the business leaders interviewing, and the students being interviewed.  Students are notified by letter and the winners are recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Business meeting in March when the students receive their scholarships and Award.
