Fairmount Center for the Arts invites guests of all ages to attend the public opening of the 37th Annual Fairmount Art Exhibit this Sunday, June 2 from 1-6pm at Fairmount Center for the Arts in Novelty. Artwork created by more than 100 artists will be on the historic walls of Fairmount from June 2-13. Three esteemed jurists from diverse art backgrounds, gallery owner, Dick Kleinman and artists Joy Elaine Praznik Sweeney and Tim Haas, chose artwork and award winners for the show Wednesday, May 29 from 9am to 5pm at Fairmount. Judged categories included Painting in Watercolor, Painting in Oil and Acrylic, Photography, Graphics, 3-D and Fiber. A Judges Gallery Talk will be held at the Center Friday, June 7 from 7-9pm. A special keepsake poster print of Tim Haas’ artwork, “Marsh Road” will be available for purchase for $35 for the duration of the exhibit. This and all Fairmount Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9-7pm, Tuesday 9-8pm and Saturday and Sunday 1-6pm.
