Amalia Haas, beekeeper and environmental educator, will lead an interactive series on beekeeping at the Chagrin Falls Branch Library for three Mondays in May. Learn about honey from flower to bee, crystallization, fermentation, and how terroir affects a honey’s sensory qualities. Changing landscapes, modern agriculture, climate change and globalization all play a role in pollinator decline. Learn steps we can all take to ensure our food security and help bees thrive in today’s challenging environment. This week we will learn about planting a pollinator garden. Registration requested for this free series (440-247-3556).
