On Saturday, August 9, there will be a CASH MOB in support of our treasured Fireside Bookshop. The Fireside Book Shop has been in downtown Chagrin Falls for 51 years, since its founding by the late Barbara Lewis.
Fireside Book Shop has survived while big-box stores like Borders have failed. Amazon and e-readers are tough competitors. To thrive in today’s environment requires personal service and a welcoming atmosphere—a reflection of what draws visitors to the greater Chagrin Valley.
It's tough out there for booksellers. Let's do all we can to support this local treasure. Please join me in spending at least $20 at Fireside on Saturday, August 9. The Book Shop will be open from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
Fireside is at 29 North Franklin St in a downtown of many other great stores, at which I encourage to you shop as well. Keep the grin in Chagrin.
