The Holiday Traditions program is coming to Chagrin Falls for the 2013 Holiday season and is presented by Your HomeTown Chagrin Falls. Township Hall on historic Main Street will be transformed into Holly Hall featuring visits from Santa, cocoa and cookies, caroling, a festival of mini-trees for silent auction, Santa’s gift shop, along with everyone’s favorite, horse drawn carriage rides. Santa’s Shop is back and filled with delightful gifts, all under $6, and perfect for children who save their allowances and want to surprise a teacher, parents, neighbor, or grandparent with a special gift.
We are pleased to announce the return of Mark Brown’s trains of Mark L. Brown Funeral Services to the legendary Holly Hall. For over ten years, Mark has provided the sights and sounds of Holiday Traditions with trains traveling thru colorful seasonal villages. Please bring your children and begin a memory, as you relive yours, by visiting Holly Hall and enjoy this year’s train theme “Celebrating the Golden Age of American Trains”. In addition, a Mini-Tree with Silent Auction featuring 70 trees will be displayed throughout Holly Hall. This year in addition to the silent auction there will be a magical Fairy House and Garden on display created by James Plott. Please note that the last day for bidding on the silent auction will be Sunday, December 15 at 2:00 PM.
This year there will be a special children’s raffle featuring a Girl’s Cannondale 20 inch, 6 Speed Trail Bike with Giro Bike Helmet that retails for $410 generously donated by Geiger’s Ski & Sport Haus. The raffle tickets are $5 for one ticket or three tickets for $10. You can purchase the tickets on line or at Holly Hall. The winner will be chosen on Sunday, December 22nd at 3:00 PM.
Holly Hall will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, November 29th from 11 AM to 8:00 PM and will remain open every day until Monday, December 23rd. Holly Hall hours are: Monday through Friday 11 AM to 3 PM and Saturday through Sunday 11AM to 4 PM.
Santa will visit Holly Hall on the opening weekend of Friday, November 29th , Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1 from 1 pm to 4 pm. December weekend Santa visits begin Saturday, December 7th, and run through December 22nd from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Free horse drawn carriage rides will tour the historic Village of Chagrin Falls, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, on Sundays, December 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd from
1 PM - 4 PM. Timed tickets are available on a first come first serve basis on the day of ride only at Dazzle…. where a girl can shine! in Chagrin Falls Shopping Plaza. The shopping plaza where CVS and Giant Eagle are located.
There will be several performances including the St. Joan of Arc School Choir on Saturday, December 7th from 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM, the Bethlehem Christian Academy School Choir on Saturday, December 1st from 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM and the Chagrin Falls School Student Choirs on Saturday, December 14th from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Cleveland City Rhythm, a volunteer tap dance group will performing on Saturday, December 21 from 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM.
A special edition Chagrin Falls Holiday Traditions Christmas ornament will be available for sale once again this year at the Visitor’s Center in Township Hall for $20. This special ornament was originally created by Don and Lorraine Reiter, who ran the Christmas Store and Seasonal Treasures in Chagrin Falls. They have generously donated the design of the ornament to the Holiday Traditions Program. The ceramic ornament features three landmarks of Chagrin Falls – the natural water falls, the bandstand and Township Hall.
