Mummy Science & Mystery Cemetery
Investigate mummification with Susannah Hamm, the library's Science & Technology Specialist at the Gates Mills Branch Library. Explore the concepts of osmosis and desiccation, which make mummification possible. Learn how the ancient Egyptians preserved their dead. Mummify an egg to take home! Find out what scientists can learn about ancient people from their burial sites, and try some archaeology with the Mystery Cemetery! This program is for students in grades 4-6.
