In conjunction with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s exhibition, “Rembrandt in America,” a staff member from the art museum will present this program at the Chagrin Falls Branch Library, laying the foundation for understanding the history of Rembrandt paintings, including those in the museum’s collection. “Rembrandt in America” (February 19 – May 28, 2012) is the first major exhibition to explore in depth, the collecting of Rembrandt paintings in America. Then on April 18, 2012 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM the participants of the March 15th program will have the chance to come into The Cleveland Museum of Art's Ingalls Library where we will first visit the Ralph Thrall King Library to view a selection of books related to Rembrandt and printmaking, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition, “Rembrandt Prints from the Morgan Library,” led by Curator of Prints, Jane Glaubinger. This program is part of the University Circle in the Valley cultural series sponsored by the Friends of the Chagrin Falls Branch Library. Registration is requested for this free program and is limited to 30 people (440-247-3556).
