2026 Rubber Ducky Race over the Falls!
The Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce our 6th Annual Rubber Ducky Race, happening Saturday, May 9th! 💦
What is a Rubber Ducky Race, you ask? A rubber ducky's journey down the river, under the bridge and over the falls to the finish line. If your adoption paper's number matches the number on the bottom of the winning duck... you win!
To participate, adopt a duck or a flock and cheer on your ducks as they sail through the river to the finish line. One lucky duck will win the first place price of $1000.00, second place winner $500.00 and third place $250. Don't miss out on the chance to adopt one of our 4,000 racing ducks for the event. AQUA DOC will make sure that no duck is left behind and will be handling everything in the River with the assistance of the Chagrin Valley Fire Department.

- Quack Pack (6 ducks): $30.00
- Dozen (13 ducks): $65.00

When you adopt your ducks, you can add a Lucky Duck for just $25.00! If your numbered Lucky Duck is the first to cross the finish line, you'll win DOUBLE the prize money!
How It Works:

This is not a separate race—Lucky Ducks race alongside your regular ducks but are specially colored so you can spot them in action!
Only a first-place Lucky Duck finisher qualifies for double winnings.
- If a Lucky Duck beats a regular duck and is the very first duck to cross the finish line, the person who "adopted" that Lucky Duck wins double the prize money ($2,000) compared to someone whose regular duck comes in first ($1000)
- If a Lucky Duck finishes in any position other than first place, it doesn't qualify for the double winnings.

How to Get Your Lucky Duck:

Adopt your ducks – Choose from a Single Duck, Quack Pack, Quackers Dozen, or a full Flock.

Select the Lucky Duck option for $25 – Remember, you must adopt at least one regular duck first.

Festivities including member vendor tables, balloon twister, DJ, characters, etc continue until 11am. After the race, make reservations at one of our local restaurants, shop at our local merchants or simply enjoy the falls! Township Hall will be available for restroom use.

Some fine print:
RACE RULES: The main race begins when approximately 4,000 rubber ducks are released into the Chagrin River. The first duck to cross the finish line wins $1,000, the second duck wins $500, and the third duck wins $250, Each duck is the same exact size, color, and weight, and the number on your Duck Adoption Certificate corresponds with the number on the bottom of the duck entered into the race. The decision of the winning duck is at the sole discretion of the AQUA DOC staff and is final. Winners must be 18 years or older and do not need to be present to win. Winners will be contacted via email after the race, and the corresponding Duck Adoption Certificate may be required for verification before prizes are awarded. Prizes must be picked up within 10 days at the Chagrin Valley Chamber of Commerce. No refunds or exchanges.Event Sponsors
