Mr. Zenty will discuss the implications of health reform for patients and providers at a local and national level and how hospitals’ responses to the reforms will impact patients.
 
About Thomas F. Zenty III
As Chief Executive Officer of University Hospitals since 2003, Thomas F. Zenty III has guided the hospital system through an unprecedented era of growth and achievement.
 
Mr. Zenty led a $1.2 billion strategic plan that has expanded access to UH care across Northeast Ohio. During his tenure, UH has expanded community-benefit contributions, increased patient volume and earned numerous quality awards, including the prestigious 2012 American Hospital Association-McKesson Quest for Quality Prize for UH Case Medical Center. In December 2012, Mr. Zenty announced that UH achieved its historic $1 billion fundraising goal through Discover the Difference: The Campaign for University Hospitals and extended the campaign with a goal of reaching $1.5 billion by UH’s 150th anniversary in 2016.

Mr. Zenty is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the prestigious B’nai B’rith International 2010 National Healthcare Leadership Award and The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s 2011 Humanitarian Award. He was inducted into the Northeast Ohio Business Hall of Fame and was named to Modern Healthcare’s 2011 list of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.
