    Job Overview
    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients while supporting healthcare professionals in delivering effective treatment.

    Duties

    • Assist healthcare providers with patient procedures.
    • Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.
    • Maintain complete medical and office inventories, including ordering necessary supplies and medications.
    • Utilize EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
    • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and facilitating communication between patients and medical staff.
    • Administer IR laser therapy after training under physician supervision.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
    • Greet and provide support for patients, family members and visitors with a warm, welcoming and courteous demeanor
    • Schedule and coordinate patient care via telephone, text and email
    • Register and maintain sensitive patient information
    • Contact referring physician offices and healthcare systems for additional documentation and imaging
    • Pre-Appointment and in-office patient billing (no insurance billing, no patient collections)
    • Provide general information about the practice and our approach to potential patients and referral sources

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology.
    • Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations.
    • Proficiency in EHR systems for effective patient management.
    • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care quality.
    • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
